Rowe Stays at Shots

Midfielder James Rowe has signed a new one-year deal with the club. He originally joined the club after impressing on trial back in the summer of 2017 and has made a total of 47 appearances, scoring four times.

After leaving the club following the expiration of his contract in 2018, he retrialled at the Shots and earned his place back in the squad, but a freak injury last season restricted him to just 14 appearances which sidelined him from September to April.

He scored once last season, an impressive late winner courtesy of a 25-yard free kick in the Shots 3-2 win over Bromley at the EBB Stadium. He was part of the squad that made the Play-Offs the season before under Gary Waddock.

His former clubs include Reading, Lewes, Basingstoke Town, Forest Green Rovers, Tranmere Rovers and Cheltenham Town.
