PROGRAMME PREVIEW: Gateshead (H)

A second home game in quick succession for Aldershot Town this weekend, this time the visitors being Gateshead and the match being Shots’ dedicated ‘Her Game Too’ fixture, and as ever, there’s an edition of Shots’ match day programme to accompany and complement your game day viewing.

Full of all your favourite articles and features. Shots has Luke Jenkins on the front cover and an in-depth interview with Emmanuel Maja over the centre pages – find out who the biggest support to his career has been so far.

There are the regular columns from management, board and captain. There are also pages from the Supporters Club, committee member Nick Brooks telling us all about his trip to Sittingbourne last weekend, the Shots Foundation giving us information about Sight Loss Soccer and their recent half-term holiday football camps, Trevor Knell writes about women’s football and how it fits alongside the men’s game, and Take a Shot has more pics of Shots supporters in their club merchandise.

Our visitors, Gateshead are previewed in detail by Luke Maunder, Nick Cansfield explains how difficult it can be, listening to an FA Trophy draw when you are driving and can’t connect to the right radio station, and with 8 March being World Women’s Day and our Her Game Too fixture, there’s an article from Ayme Melham, Aldershot Town Women’s first team manager.

Continuing to reflect on the glories on the 2002-03 season and the huge promotion achieved at the end of that, Journey to the Top of Non-League looks at two more matches in that dramatic season, including progress in the Hampshire Senior Cup.

Along with four pages of stats and pictures from the games against Sittingbourne and Dagenham and Redbridge, there’s also three pages of stats. The Shots is available to buy from outlets inside the ground. Don’t forget to purchase your copy!
