PlayerShare Funds Holman Deal

Aldershot Town are once again grateful to the PlayerShare Fund for its contributions to Andy Scott’s playing budget.

The Fund, which recently passed the £100,000 mark, has this month donated £4000 to assist with the extension of Dan Holman’s loan spell from Colchester United.

PlayerShare, organised by Nick Fryer, Ian Dawkins and Keith Able, has helped The Shots sign many key players in the last seven years, including Jonny Dixon, Tristan Plummer, Jamie Young, Dean Morgan, Jermaine McGlashan, Aaron Morris and Dan Fitchett, among many others.

Holman’s goals and dynamic performances have galvanised The Shots on their recent run of good form, and manager Andy Scott said: “The PlayerShare Fund was fantastic last year – they money they contributed effectively saved our season. We talk to Nick and his team about players that they want to help us bring in, and we’re very grateful for everything they can do for us. They’re a massive part of the Club, and we’re delighted that they can be a part of what we want to achieve on the pitch.”

Nick Fryer said: “Several fans had asked us if there was anything we could do to help extend Dan’s loan spell, and we were delighted to be able to make this donation. Special thanks must go to Keith Able, for his efforts with Cash For Shots and in running the monthly Quiz Nights in the EBB Lounge.”

The Fund will be continuing to support the Club this season, with forthcoming events, Cash for Shots, donations, Golden Goal tickets and quiz nights. For further information, please email nickfryer@icloud.com.
