PLAYER AVAILABILITY UPDATE

The club has the following update on 2 of the Shots squad.

The club are in extended talks with Ollie Harfield over a deal which will secure him here for next season.

This football club has supported Ollie throughout his time here, but certainly since his injury, and we’ve committed once again to supporting Ollie in his football comeback!

Although there was communications where Ollie may have made his return this season, after a long meeting and deliberation, passing all fitness tests, with approval from our club’s First-Team Lead Sports Therapist Ollie’s return will be prolonged until the 2026/27 season.

Hear from Georgia: “In the last 4 weeks, Ollie has continued to progress incredibly well through his return to play. He has spent the last two weeks in full training and warming up with the match-day squad on game days. The response has been outstanding and we continue to see his knee adapt and deal with the training loads exceptionally well which can be seen through the clinical markers checked each day. We will continue to work hard through the off-season and are looking forward to seeing him return to the pitch”.

The club wants to be transparent, we don’t want to allow for Ollie’s return against Truro and instead give him the best chance to be a regular part of the Shots squad next season.

Although his appearances haven’t changed this season, we recognise the impact and support Ollie has shown the first team and club as a whole during his extended period on the sidelines!

Everyone’s behind you, Ollie, bring on the 2026/27 season!

Jed Meerholz will, unfortunately, not be available either.

Hear from Georgia, “Jed had shown encouraging signs throughout his return to play and was well on track to feature in training. Unfortunately, last week there was a breakdown in his return to play, which led to sending him for an MRI. Upon receiving the results of that scan, we can confirm that Jed has suffered an ACL rupture. We will update you more as we he progresses forward through his next steps”.
