Tonight represents Oxford United’s sixth friendly in nine days, including a tour of Ireland, and manager Karl Robinson is expected to bring a strong squad to the EBB Stadium. New signings Tony McMahon, a former Middlesbrough and Bradford City defender, plus Samir Carruthers, who has joined on a season-long loan from Sheffield United, are expected to be involved, along with Everton’s England Under 21 defender Luke Garbutt.

Former Liverpool midfielder Cameron Branagan should play, as well as ex West Ham United winger Rob Hall and experienced midfielder John Mousinho. After two goals each in Saturday’s comfortable victory against Oxford City, striker Jon Obika and midfielder Armani Little will also feature.

Gary Waddock will give several trialists another chance to earn a contract after they impressed in Saturday’s 4-0 victory against Leatherhead, whilst new signings including Luke Howell, Luke Wanadio, Josh Lelan, Regan Booty and Marvin McCoy could all make their home debuts.
