Aldershot Town can confirm that goalkeeping coach David Blackmore has left the club.
David joined The Shots last summer as part of the first-team coaching staff. Manager Danny Searle said “everyone at the club will miss him but he understands other priorities need to come first at this moment in time.”
He added: “After notifying me that he is unable to commit to his role at the football club at the minute due to his own work and personal commitments, he unfortunately has had to step down and we appreciate everything he has done for us during his time here.
“I just want to thank him for all he has done for us during his time with us and we wish him all the best in the future as well.
The decision as mentioned is due to travel and work commitments, but everyone will miss ‘Blackers’ passion on the touchline as we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
David said: “I’m gutted to be leaving Aldershot Town. Although I’ve only been part of the club for just over a year, it’s been a really enjoyable one.
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff, players, fans, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes that work so hard on a daily basis.
“I’ve enjoyed every moment and I hope to be back at the EBB soon supporting the lads!
“Up the Shots!”
