NEWS: CENTURIONS’ LOUNGE INTRODUCED

The hospitality lounge formerly known as the ELM Patron’s lounge has officially been renamed the ELM Centurions’ Lounge.

The idea behind this is to honour and remember those who played a big part in the history of our wonderful football club.

Two honours boards of players who have played 100 games or more for Aldershot FC/Aldershot Town have been produced as part of the renaming of the lounge.

The first board shows all those who completed a century of games for the old club, prior to its rebirth in 1992. The number of people who managed to do this is, coincidentally, exactly a century itself.

The second board, which currently has 51 names on it, has all the names of the centurions who have played for the club since 1992’s reformation.

Last Of The Summer Wine, who are members of what was formerly the Patrons Lounge, have come together to pay for the new centurion boards.

As stated, the leading leasehold estate management company ELM Group will continue to be the Lounge’s sponsor.

Commercial Manager Mark Butler would also like to thank everybody who contributed to the creation of the boards with a number of Shots fans providing valuable and necessary information.
