We are delighted to announce that Joe Partington has returned to the club, signing a two-year deal ahead of the 2022/23 season subject to FA approval!
Partington, who can play a number of positions both defensively and also in midfield, will be looking to build on his previous experience with the Shots when he joined the club on loan back in 2013-14.
The former AFC Bournemouth man re-joins Aldershot Town after several seasons’ experience at EFL League One, League Two and Vanarama National League level where he has made around 300 professional appearances, including 187 times in the fifth tier.
During this time, Partington represented clubs including AFC Bournemouth, Eastleigh FC, Bristol Rovers and most recently Bromley FC which saw the 32 year-old play a key part in the Ravens’ FA Trophy success last season, including a well-taken free-kick opener against Aldershot Town in the 4th Round.
The experienced man also comes in with international experience with Wales under his belt at a number of levels, representing his country at u17, u19, ‘B’ and u21 level.
Partington joins the Shots after a career that has seen him represent a number of clubs in League Two, League One and National League level for the last 15 years and now looks to offer his experience to the youthful squad here at Aldershot Town.
