We are delighted to announce that forward Josh McQuoid has returned to the club and signed a one-year deal with us ahead of the 2022/23 season subject to FA approval!
McQuoid, who can play a number of positions in the forward line, as well as in midfield, will be looking to build on his previous experience with the Shots when he first joined the club for the 2018-19 season.
The former AFC Bournemouth man re-joins Aldershot Town after several seasons’ experience in the Vanarama National League, where he has played around 100 times in the fifth tier.
The forward also comes in with international experience with Northern Ireland under his belt at a number of levels, representing his country at u19, u21, ‘B’ and first-team stages. This saw McQuoid go on to make five appearances with the senior team in his career.
The forward also joins The Shots after a career that has seen him represent a number of clubs in League Two, League One and Championship and now looks to offer his experience to the youthful squad here at Aldershot Town.
Most recently representing Weymouth FC at their captain, (scoring 21 times in 67 games), McQuoid now returns as preparations continue for the new season.
