We are delighted to announce that forward Inih Effiong has signed for the club, signing a two-year deal ahead of the 2022/23 season subject to FA approval!
Effiong will be looking to build on previous goalscoring success as well as several years of experience at this level, having had successful spells within the National League with St Albans City, Dover Athletic and on two occasions with Woking FC even as recently as last season, where he scored 13 times in the National League.
The 31 year-old joins Aldershot Town after several seasons’ experience at both Vanarama National League level but also EFL League Two level as well, having played for Stevenage in the 2020-21 season.
Effiong will be looking to add more goal threat to the Shots front line this season, with his most successful return coming for Dover Athletic, where he scored 25 goals in 80 league matches during his two seasons at the Crabble.
The powerful striker will also be looking to bring goals but also experience within this squad manager Mark Molesley is assembling, as we look ahead to the new season that’s just under two months away!
