We are delighted to announce that Exeter City defender Colin Daniel has signed for the club on loan until the end of the season!
34 year-old Daniel is versatile left-sided player, who will be looking to build on his previous Vanarama National League experience with both Grays Athletic and Mansfield Town during his career.
The experienced wide-man joins Aldershot Town however after spending the majority of his playing career, playing within different levels of the EFL for the likes of Macclesfield Town, Port Vale, Blackpool, Peterborough United, Burton Albion and most recently, Exeter City.
Daniel has also had success at both this level and the level above in League Two, having achieved promotion from the Conference Premier back in the 2012-13 season, before going on to be a part of Blackpool’s League Two play-off promotion. This saw him make over 30 appearances that season and also played in the 2-1 play-off final victory against current side Exeter City.
The versatile left-sided player joins The Shots with a wealth of experience, making over 450 appearances and scoring over 40 times.
The Eastwood-born wide man joins the club looking to compete for a regular first-team spot, having made eight appearances for the Grecians this season, scoring once against Cheltenham Town in the EFL Trophy.
Daniels will wear the number 33 during his time at the club and now join us ahead of our Vanarama National League away game v Wrexham A.F.C, as we look to return to winning ways.
Welcome to Aldershot Town Colin!
