We are delighted to announce that defender Tyler Cordner has signed for the club on a two-year deal subject to FA approval!
23 year-old Cordner will be looking to build on previous Vanarama National League experience from the last three seasons, representing Havant & Waterlooville, Ebbsfleet United and most recently Weymouth FC and making close to 100 appearances in that time and scoring 7 times as well.
After graduating through Premier League side AFC Bournemouth’s academy, the central defender joins The Shots with plenty of National League and League Two experience under his belt, having represented Southend United and Scunthorpe United whilst they were in the fourth tier too.
Since then, the Southampton-born man has gained even more experience last season in the Vanarama National League after being a main stay in Weymouth FC’s starting line-up, making 41 appearances and scoring 3 times.
The 6 foot four central defender will now look to link up with fellow AFC Bournemouth graduate Corey Jordan at the heart of the Shots defence, with manager Mark Molesley also a familiar face for Cordner having worked with him in a successful spell within the AFC Bournemouth academy.
