We are delighted to announce that Queens Park Rangers forward Sinclair Armstrong has signed for the club on loan until the end of the season!
18 year-old Armstrong will be looking to build on previous Vanarama National League experience from earlier this season, representing Torquay United in the National League earlier on this season too.
After gaining his first taste of senior football in the League of Ireland with Shamrock Rovers, Sinclair joined Queens Park Rangers in 2020, and has continued to impress for the London club’s U23-side, whilst gaining international recognition with Republic of Ireland, with whom he attended an Under-19 training camp in September 2021.
Armstrong has also been back on international duty within Ireland’s youth systems over the last few weeks, (starting upfront against England’s u19s), but is now back and ready to make an impact in an Aldershot Town shirt.
Having been linked with moves to European giants Hoffenheim, Celtic and Manchester City prior to signing a new deal at Loftus Road, we are delighted to have Armstrong with us for the remainder of the 2021/22 Vanarama National League season.
Armstrong also has experience at the EBB Stadium, having started in Torquay’s 1-0 defeat here earlier in the season, before playing in the behind-closed-doors friendly against The Shots back in mid-March.
The Irishman will look to recover from his recent injury and be an attacking option for manager Mark Molesley as soon as possible.
