NEW SIGNING: Shots sign Anderson!

Aldershot Town are pleased to announce the signing of Myles Anderson on a short-term loan deal until January 4th!

The 29-year-old defender joins The Shots off the back of a regular run of games at his current club Hartlepool United last season, making 39 appearances but has also had spells in Italy with Chievo Verona and up in Scotland with Aberdeen where he made his first-team debut.

Anderson has also spent time here at the EBB Stadium before, having joined the club on loan from Blackburn Rovers back in the 2012-13 season and made seven first-team appearances.

The Westminster-born centre-back is also a player who knows this league well and has played for a number of clubs at National League level, including: Barrow A.F.C, Torquay United and Chester, along with current National League side Hartlepool United.

Anderson joins the club having spent three years out in Italy, during which time he has taught himself fluent Italian in order to speak to his former team-mates.

The defender signed a new deal with Hartlepool back in May 2019 with former Pools boss Craig Hignett describing him as a “model professional”, which is exactly something Aldershot Town manager Danny Searle will be looking to add to his ranks.

He will be available for The Shots’ next National League game away to Yeovil Town on Tuesday.
