We’re delighted to confirm the signing of Ryan Jones on a two year deal following the expiry of his contract with Bristol Rovers.
The 22-year-old will bring versatility to the Shots but has usually found himself down the left so far in his career.
Having impressed at Weston-super-Mare after breaking into their first-team as a 17-year-old, Jones joined Bristol Rovers in the October 2020 but was immediately loaned back to Weston-super-Mare.
Jones has since had loan spells with Bath City, Hungerford Town and Bromley.

Tommy Widdrington said: “Ryan (Jones) is a player who excelled at a very young age in the senior game when at Weston-super-Mare.”
“At that time, I felt he was ready for the step to EFL (at 18) and I beat a number of clubs to ensure his signature at Bristol Rovers.”
“But for changes in management at BRFC, I believe he’d be a regular at The Gas now! He’s another lad I genuinely feel can improve us in a number of areas on the pitch and I’m delighted to welcome Ryan to The EBB and I’m sure the Shots will join me in making Ryan feel very much at home here.”
Head of Recruitment Jamie Hedges added: “Ryan is a player I highly recommended Tommy (Widdrington) to sign at Bristol Rovers having watched him multiple times.”
“He’s an extremely talented lad who I believe will flourish with the platform to play games.”
“Ryan’s primarily an attacking left wing back, but he’s versatile and can play different roles and positions.
He’s technically proficient, a great ball carrier and gives plenty of end product.”
Welcome to the Shots, Ryan!
