NEW SIGNING: Ollie Bray

We’re excited to announce the signing of promising attacker Ollie Bray from Willand Rovers subject to FA and National League approval!

The 20-year-old has signed an 18-month contract and will wear the number 14.

The forward registered double figures in goals and assists for the Southern League Division One South side last season and has continued his form into this campaign, scoring four times and adding six assists in 13 games.

Bray is a quick and exciting player who also stands at 6’3″ and his promise has been recognised further up the divisions, having spent the summer on trial with Manchester United’s u23s.

We’d like to thank Willand Rovers for their co-operation in the deal go through.”

First Team Manager Tommy Widdrington said: “Ollie is a young, athletic striker, who’s played a lot of senior football for his age.”

“He’s been to train with a couple of Premier League and EFL clubs – all of whom showed real interest – but he wants a challenge in the senior game rather than development football.”

“We had him in for a week so we both could see how each other worked and I’m delighted he’s joining us as I’m sure there were/are plenty of clubs that have been keen to land him.”

“I’m sure The Shots fans will join me in welcoming Ollie to The EBB!”

Head of Recruitment Jamie Hedges said: “As a staff and as a club, we want to give young players a chance and are not phased by what level they are playing at if we believe they are talented enough!”

“Ollie fits that bill as a young striker with brilliant raw attributes: he’s 6’3″, physically strong and is a serious athlete with great pace and has shown he can score goals.”

“We look forward to developing him further!”

Welcome to the Shots, Ollie!
