We’re excited to confirm the signing of talented attacker Kai Corbett for an undisclosed fee from Peterborough United, subject to League and FA approval!
The 21-year-old has signed a one-year deal with the Shots and has already trained with his new teammates earlier today.
Born in Barcelona, Corbett came through the youth ranks at West Ham before joining Peterborough in 2021 and has spent time with Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea and Southampton at youth level.
Corbett impressed with Peterborough’s under 21 side and was named as the staff and players’ Under 21 Player of the Season. He made a Championship appearance with Posh and most recently spent a short period on loan at Scunthorpe United at the end of last season.

Tommy Widdrington said: “From fairly early on; after January, we were aware of the possibility of losing Josh (Stokes) and Lorent (Tolaj). But, with the way we structured both deals, we knew we could get through to the summer with them both.”
“In the background we’ve been scouring all levels to make sure we had good options should we end up in the situation we did.”
“Kai is a lad I’ve known about for quite some time and feel whilst neither a direct replacement for either Josh (Stokes) or Lorent (Tolaj), will bring real quality to our attacking options.”
“His pathway so far has been more similar to Lorent (Tolaj) and I’m sure, quite rightly, Kai will have ambitions to return to higher levels of the game.”
“In the meantime I’m sure you’ll join us in welcoming Kai (Corbett) to the EBB Stadium and a massive thank you to Peterborough and Barry Fry for their help with this deal.”
Head of Recruitment Jamie Hedges added: “We are delighted to secure Kai’s signature, he’s been one thats been on our radar all summer.”
“He’s a profile of player we’d like to try and rejuvenate; an extremely talented player who’s just lost their way a little and I think lots of people are now recognising Aldershot Town FC is a great destination to do this.”
“Kai is an exciting forward, he’s a profile of forward we like in that he’s technically brilliant, works extremely hard, a great finisher and has outstanding quality from dead balls, I’m sure he will fit in well in our group!”
Welcome to the Shots, Kai!
