We’re delighted to announce the signing of Henry Ochieng from Chelmsford City.
The 24-year-old joins on an 18-month contract and has notched 33 appearances for The Clarets.
An industrious central midfielder, Ochieng will bolster The Shots’ midfield ranks.
Ochieng came through the youth ranks at West Ham United, before moving to Leyton Orient where he racked up a number of Football League appearances.
Eligible to play for Kenya through his parents, Ochieng received a call-up for an African Cup of Nations match vs Sierra Leone, but, with the match being cancelled, missed out on making his international debut. He has, however, represented Kenya at Under-23 level.
Head of Football Operations Terry Brown said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Henry on board. He first impressed us whilst watching Chelmsford ahead of our FA Cup fixture against them and he played a big part in them beating us on that day.”
“He’s 24 and has experience in the league above and he’ll bring some steel to our midfield. We believe he’ll play a big part of our young side moving forward and we’re delighted to have him here.”
Henry’s home, away and third shirts will be available to sponsor. Contact our Commercial Manager Mark Butler at mark.butler@theshots.co.uk or 01252 320211 for more information!
