We’re delighted to confirm the signing of dominant midfielder Emmanuel Maja!
Maja has signed a one-year deal with the Shots after leaving Banbury United this summer.
The central midfielder made his way into men’s football at just 17, joining Croydon FC from Kinetic Academy and his impressive displays earned a trial for Manchester City.
The 23-year-old joined Welling United from Croydon, before spells with Enfield Town, Tonbridge Angels and Cheshunt.

Tommy Widdrington said he’s really pleased to have signed Maja, adding: “His performances last season were both impressive and consistent in a central midfield role.”
“He’s a big, strong fella but has excellent technical ability too and we feel he will be a very good addition to our midfield options.”
Head of Recruitment Jamie Hedges added: “One profile that we identified that we wanted to add was a midfielder with some presence and physicality, however, we didn’t want to have a drop off in the technical qualities that we require in our midfielders and we feel Manny (Emmanuel Maja) fits the bill perfectly.”
