We’re delighted to confirm the signing of exciting midfielder Dejan Tetek!
Tetek has been a free agent since leaving Reading in the summer where he made 17 appearances in the Championship!
The 21-year-old was born in England, but has Serbian family and despite having represented England at youth level, switched international allegiance to Serbia and has made five appearances for their Under 21s.
Welcome to the Shots, Dejan!
First-Team Manager Tommy Widdrington said: “Dejan is initially joining us on a short-term deal after a short period in which he has trained with the group.”
“In the time he’s been with us he’s shown why he has already amassed 17 Championship apperances and received international honours with three England u18 caps and five Serbia u21 caps!”
“Following a period out injured his career has “stuttered” somewhat but we hope he finds his a-game with us: which is as a combative but also a technically-good central midfielder, and I’m sure all connected with The Shots will welcome him to The EBB Stadium.”
Head of Recruitment Jamie Hedges added:
“Dejan is a player with massive pedigree and experience of playing in the Championship, we got an opportunity to look at him this week and he really impressed with his ability and personality.”
“He is a technically gifted player who can play no different off either foot, he’s tenacious out of possession and a winner and we look forward to welcoming him into the group!”
