We’re delighted to confirm the loan signing of exciting striker Brad Dolaghan from West Ham United until the end of the season!
The 20-year-old joined West Ham in the summer having impressed the Premier League side with his end-of-season form at Vanarama National League South side Worthing.
Dolaghan scored seven goals in 11 first-team appearances, helping fire Worthing towards the NLS Playoffs, and was invited to trial for the Hammers where he subsequently earned his first professional contract.
He’s made an impressive start to life in West Ham’s Academy sides and has scored goals against the likes of Benfica B and Athletic Club B in the Premier League International Cup.
Tommy Widdrington said: “Brad is a lad we monitored very closely during his time at Worthing and the fact he made the move to West Ham wasn’t a total surprise. We feel adding another option in the front line is a sound option with the game schedule we have ahead of us.”
“Brad has recent experience of senior football whilst also playing U21 football since joining West Ham, which is of course a positive, and we appreciate the help from West Ham and to those advising Brad that joining us above other National League clubs was the right move.”
“We know you will join me in welcoming him to The Shots for the remainder of the campaign.”
Head of Recruitment Jamie Hedges added: “We are delighted to have Brad on loan for the rest of the season. We are still in three cups and have many league games left so we wanted to bolster our attacking numbers.”
“Brad was a player we watched a lot at the back end of last season at Worthing and caught the eye with his pace, willingness to run in behind, and his natural goalscoring abilities (Scoring 7 goals in eleven NLS appearances, at 107 minutes per goal).”
“He’s now had half a season in a good environment at West Ham, who we want to thank for their cooperation on this deal.”
Welcome to the Shots, Brad!
