We’re pleased to confirm that young defender Maxwell Mullins has signed a new contract with the Shots for the 23/24 season!
Mullins has been impressive during our 23/24 pre-season campaign after gaining experience with a number of loans last season and has even been selected by the Vanarama National League as a ‘one-to-watch‘ this season!
Having progressed through the Aldershot Town Academy, playing for both the under-18 and under-21 sides, Mullins signed his first Professional deal in May 2022.
Tommy Widdrington said: “Maxi first caught my eye when I arrived and by playing senior football out on loan and training with us, I could see he’s a great athlete.”
“He’s got great versatility and he’s played all over the pitch already in his early career, but, he’s been doing a very good job in our backline in pre-season.”
“He’s earnt the right to a contract and I hope we can help him develop further as a Shots player!”
Mullins added that he was very happy to have extended his contract, saying: “The gaffer has shown how much he trusts us young players in pre-season and I am always grateful to get given a chance.”
“So far it’s going really well and I hope that we can continue that into the season!”
