NEW CONTRACT: Keane Anderson

We’re delighted to confirm that Keane Anderson has signed a new contract with the Shots to keep him at the club for the 24/25 season!

Anderson made his professional debut for the Shots last season in our 4-1 FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round win over Lewes.

The midfielder then joined Sholing on loan where he would stay until the end of the season, helping the Southern League Premier South side to avoid relegation.

On his new contract, Anderson said: “I’m delighted to be offered another year at my hometown club!”

“I’d like to thank Tommy (Widdrington), the management team and the club for believing in me.”

The loans have been great for my development and now I feel ready to push on – I’ve listened to what Tommy (Widdrington) wants from me and what I need to do and I’ll be doing everything I can to make an impact.”

Tommy Widdrington added: “Keane is a player I feel has more to offer the club after impressing regularly in training and then making his debut at The EBB; it was felt collectively a loan last season was the best route for his progression at that time.”

“I’ve told him he’s on the starting line with the rest of the group so he will have an opportunity to stake his claim for a place in our matchday plans from the off at pre-season.”

“Another local lad who’d bleed red and blue for the badge I hope Keane gets what Keane wants!”

Congratulations, Keano!
