Half-Prices Places For Life-Changing Half-Term Course

Aldershot Town’s Football in the Community Trust are giving young people aged 16-17 a great offer to enjoy an exciting half-term this October.

If booked by this Sunday, 4 October, half-price places, costing just £25, are available for the seven-day National Citizen Service course combining sports and activities with community and social action work.

From Sunday 25 – Wednesday 28 October, students participate in abseiling, zip wires, quad biking, trapezes and lots more, at PGL’s fantastic purpose-built, 150-acre Liddington complex, near Swindon. That is followed, until Saturday 31 October, by three days of fundraising and voluntary work in the local community.

The week will help you experience the freedom of life away from home, defy your limits as you live fearlessly to uncover a new you, and work in a team that’s part of something bigger than anything you’ve ever done before! It won’t take you long to realise that life truly begins outside your comfort zone.

Next you’ll turn your new friends into family as you’re reunited to live independently. You’ll learn some huge life skills that make for a killer CV like creating a business plan, planning a project presenting your talents and becoming a leader in the process.

Your time at NCS will give you the tools to change the world around you through fundraising and volunteering. In your final part of NCS, you’ll use your new skills and friendships to invest yourself in something remarkable. We believe in the power of you, now go out and show us what you can do.

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis, so book now! To apply, contact fitc@theshots.co.uk or call 01252 339384. The NCS Project is funded by The Football League Trust.
