Shots Sign Winger Nathan Ralph

Aldershot Town have signed winger Nathan Ralph on loan from Newport County until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

The Essex-born winger, who turns 23 on Sunday, joined County in the summer having made 24 appearances for League One Yeovil Town last season, including The Glovers’ FA Cup tie against Manchester United.

Nathan has been regularly involved in County’s matchday squad in 2016 but is yet to make an appearance for The Exiles due to a fractured cheekbone sustained in training.

In total, Ralph made 41 appearances for Yeovil Town, scoring two goals, after signing from Peterborough United in the summer of 2012. He began his scholarship as a striker with Tottenham Hotspur and then spent four years at Ipswich Town before joining The Posh aged 16. In that time he was converted into a dynamic left-sided player equally adept on the wing or at full-back.

Ralph was named as a first-team substitute on four occasions at London Road, and during 2011-12 impressed in two loan spells, with 11 appearances for St Albans City and 14 games at Kettering Town. Having promoted him to the first-team at Peterborough United, Gary Johnson then re-signed Nathan at Yeovil.

Nathan will wear shirt number 24.
