Men’s Mental Health Mondays start tonight!

Tonight is our first Men’s Mental Health Monday!

In partnership with the Shots Foundation and Andy’s Man Club, we are providing a judgement-free and safe space for us all to begin to break the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation.

Sessions will be free and taking place in the Phoenix Bar at the EBB Stadium from 7pm every Monday, with the first session taking place in a month’s time on Monday, 12th August.

Studies have shown that 77% of men have suffered with common mental health issues such as anxiety, stress and depression, yet the same studies show that 40% have never spoken to anyone about it.

Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 50 in the UK, with 3 in 4 of all suicides being committed by men and over 6 million men suffer from depression every year.

Despite these awful statistics, men are less likely to open up about their feelings and problems, but it’s time for that to change.

Andy’s Man Club are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online.
