Solihull Moors took all 6 points off Aldershot Town in the National League last season, with a 3-1 win at The EBB Stadium and a 1-0 victory at Damson Park. However, the two sides also met at the EBB in the FA Trophy, with The Shots winning a thriller, 3-2, thanks to two goals from Mo Bettamer and one from Toby Edser. Earlier this season, Moors won 2-1 at the EBB Stadium.

 

WHO’S THEIR GAFFER?:

Neal Ardley, a former midfielder that played for Wimbledon, Watford, Cardiff City and Millwall, is the current Moors Manager. His first managerial role was with the Cardiff City Youth Academy, prior to taking the reins at AFC Wimbledon, where he spent six seasons between 2012 & 2018. He was out of work for just ten days before being appointed Notts County manager on 23rd November 2018. He departed Meadow Lane in March 2021, despite having led County to the latter stages of the FA Trophy. He was named Solihull Moors manager in the summer of 2021.

 

MOORS PLAYING SQUAD:

Moors had the longest retained list in the National League coming into the 2021/22 season, key players still at Damson Park include; Jamie Osbourne, Kyle Hudlin, Callum Maycock, Joe Sbarra, Alex Gudger and Adam Rooney. Ardley brought in some cracking talent, in the likes of Striker Andrew Dallas, Centre-Back Matt Preston (Barnet) and evergreen midfielder Lois Maynard (on a season loan from Stockport County). Dallas & Sbarra have scored 35 goals between them in all competitions this season to date.
