WHO ARE THE SHOTS PLAYING?
Aldershot are back at the EBB to host Torquay this Saturday. Following games on the road against Dagenham & Redbridge and Barnet, the Shots return to action for the first of two home games against Torquay and Halifax in the National League and FA Trophy.
HOW HAVE THEY DONE THIS SEASON?
Torquay are currently sitting 22nd in the National League table, having picked up 7 wins in 33 games, and heading into this weekend’s clash have 29 points, and a 4 points off Dorking who sit just above the drop. Torquay made it to the fifth round of the FA Trophy, but after getting past Chippenham Town and Taunton Town, were knocked out by Barnet. In the FA Cup, Torquay played four times in two rounds, drawing the original ties with Hampton & Richmond and Derby, before beating the former and being eliminated by Derby in the first round.
LAST TIME OUT:
The previous meeting this season was an evening to forget for the Shots, with Tommy Willard getting on the scoresheet in what was otherwise a forgettable clash for Aldershot.
Torquay’s visit to the EBB last season was more memorable for Aldershot, with a 1-0 victory coming thanks to an 85th minute winner from Lewis Kinsella in November 2021.
