MATCH PREVIEW: Shots v Dagenham & Redbridge

WHO ARE THE SHOTS PLAYING?

Shots return to action at the EBB, taking on Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday night. Dagenham are currently 12th in the table, 3 points ahead of Aldershot, having picked up 23 points from the opening 17 fixtures this season.

HOW DID THEY GET ON LAST SEASON?

Dagenham finished 8th last season, picking up 73 points as they finished one point outside of the playoffs at the end of the season. Dagenham made it to the first round proper of the FA Cup, but failed to get any further, losing to Salford City in the first round. Dagenham made it to the quarter finals of the FA Trophy, but lost on penalties to York City.

HOW DID WE GET ON AGAINST THEM LAST SEASON?

Dagenham did the double over Aldershot last season, with a Balanta goal seperating the two sides in December, before goals from Morias and Vilhete saw Dagenham pick up the points again at the EBB in April.

WHO IS THEIR GAFFER?

Daryl McMahon currently managing Dagenham. McMahon made over 350 appearances during his playing career, and started his career with a caretaker role at Ebbsfleet United, taking the side as the National League playoff semi-finals. He then went on to manage Macclesfield, before they went bust. A day after leaving Maccelsfield, McMahon joined Dagenham, where he has remained since.

DAGENHAM SQUAD UPDATE:

Dagenham have no absences through injury or suspension, so the whole squad will be available for McMahon. Of the squad, only four players have appeared in all 17 of the opening fixtures, they are Myles Weston, Matt Robinson, Elliot Justham and Mo Sagaf, all of whom are likely to feature on Tuesday. Four other players in the squad have played over 1,000 minutes, those being Paul McCallum, Josh Hare, Emmanuel Onariase and Junior Morias, and like the previous four, these four could also feature. McMahon has trusted his old squad more than his new signings, with Nikola Tavares signed from Wealdstone playing the most, appearing 6 times, playing 467 minutes.

ANY EX-SHOTS?

Paul McCallum is the only former Shot in the Dagenham squad, as he spent 9 games on loan with Aldershot during the 12/13 League Two season. During his loan, McCallum scored 3 goals and got 1 assist.
