MATCH PREVIEW: Shots v Bromley

WHO ARE THE SHOTS PLAYING?

Following an impressive victory on the road at Solihull, Shots play away again, this time making the trip to Hayes Lane to take on Bromley. The Ravens are currently sat just one place and one point outside the playoffs, with their 37 points seeing them in 8th behind Dagenham in 7th with 38. Bromley were knocked out the FA Cup at the first juncture, falling to Hereford, and were unsuccessful in their defence of the FA Trophy, losing on penalties to Bath City in the third round.

LAST TIME OUT:

The last meeting between Bromley and Shots came at the EBB in late August. It was a 1-0 win for the visitors with Reece Hannam scoring the only goal in the tie. The Shots grew into the game after the early blow, but were unable to get their way back into the game.

SHOTS VISITS TO HAYES LANE:

Shots last visit to Hayes Lane came in April 2022, in a game in which the sides drew 1-1. A 71st minute goal for Mikael Ndjoli gave Shots the lead, and Aldershot held onto the lead until the 88th minute, when Byron Webster scored a late equaliser for the hosts.

Aldershot’s last victory at Hayes Lane came in 2017, when the Shots picked up a 2-0 win in a clash where both sides saw red. Bernard Mensah gave the Shots the lead in the 28th minute before Adam McDonnell saw red just before half time. Scott Rendell added a second for Shots just before the 70 minute mark, and in the 94th minute Jordan Higgs got himself sent off for the hosts.

ONE TO WATCH: ADAM MARRIOTT

Adam Marriott joined Bromley at the start of this season, after 17 goals in 36 games for Barnet last season. Marriott is currently scoring at a rate of a goal every other game, having scored 8 in 16 already for Bromley this season. The 31-year-old has been around the block, starting at Cambridge United, and went on to play for Cambridge City, Stevenage, Barnet, Eastleigh and Lincoln City to name a few.
