MATCH PREVIEW: Maidenhead

With games running out and it all still to play for, The Shots kick off Easter weekend by travelling to Maidenhead on Good Friday.

The game is the first of two this weekend, with the Shots hosting Dorking Wanderers on Easter Monday.

LAST TIME OUT

The Shots met Maidenhead at the EBB Stadium earlier in the season on a Tuesday night, one that looked like it was going to be an evening to forget for the Shots as Chanka Zimba scored a brace in 21 minutes to put the travelling Maidenhead into a 2-0 lead.

However, the Shots were back on terms before half time, as two goals from Jack Barham sent the sides into half time at 2 each. The game was hanging in the balance for much of the second half, but two goals from Lorent Tolaj in the final 10 minutes meant the Shots ended the game 4-2 victors.

SINCE WE MET

Maidenhead went on a good run of form in the National League following defeat at the EBB, not losing between the 28th of October and Boxing Day, but did exit the FA Cup at the hands of Oxford United and FA Trophy at the hands of Dorking.

SInce that run form has slowed down for Maidenhead, winning just four times in 2024 against Solihull Moors, Wealdstone, Altrincham and Dorking, with two of those wins coming in their last five.
