This weekend the Shots make the long trip north to face Hartlepool United at the Prestige Group Stadium.
The Pools spent 96 years in the Football League before relegation to the National League in 2017, and though they beat Torquay United in the 2021 Playoff final to return to League Two, suffered relegation back to the National League two seasons later.
They finished 12th in the Vanarama National League last season, 9 points behind the Shots with 60 points from their 46 games.
RECENT FORM
Hartlepool have only won once in their last five games, which has included two Emirates FA Cup games, but have also only lost once in a 3-1 defeat to Brackley in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round.
The Pools sit just one place below the Shots in the National League table as they are one goal worse off on goal difference, being level on points. They have an identical record to the Shots having picked up four wins, six draws and five losses from their 15 games so far.

IN THE DUGOUT
Having sacked Darren Sarll over a week ago, 76-year-old Lennie Lawrence is occupying the Hartlepool dugout on an interim basis.
Since his first Managerial role at Plymouth Argyle in 1978, Lawrence has occupied the dugouts of numerous clubs including Charlton Athletic, Luton Town and Cardiff City, as well as leading Middlesbrough to Promotion to the Premier League in 1992.
Lawrence was appointed as a Non-Executive Director at the Prestige Group Stadium in November 2022 and has taken on the role of Interim Manager before after the sacking of John Askey.
LAST TIME OUT
The Shots fell to a 2-0 defeat to Hartlepool United in their last visit to the Prestige Group Stadium in April 2024. Mani Dieseruvwe and Tom Parkes scored the goals for the Pools.
The meeting at the EBB Stadium last season saw the Shots pick up the three points thanks to two goals in 43 seconds. Kwame Thomas bundled in an equaliser before Josh Stokes turned the game around just seconds after the restart.
