This Tuesday the Shots travel to the Kuflink Stadium as they take on Ebbsfleet United.
The Shots will be making a 126 mile round trip from the EBB Stadium to the home of Ebbsfleet, as they continue their second season in the National League since being promoted from the National League South in 22/23.
The Fleet will be looking to get their first win of the 24/25 season, as they are the only team in the National League who are still yet to take home three points.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time both sides met was at the EBB Stadium, where the Shots secured a well-earned win and claimed the three important points.
Ebbsfleet were the team that made an immediate start with the first goal which came from former Shots player Toby Edser, just four minutes after the game kicked off.
However after a quiet period of time, a Lorent Tolaj brace gave the Shots a 2-1 lead heading into the second half.
The Shots didn’t stop there, an instant goal from James Daly moments into the second half gave them a third. Followed by a Ryan Glover goal in the 67th minute which saw the Shots with a well-fought 4-1 victory.
SINCE WE MET
After the 4-1 defeat against the Shots, the Fleet had an instant turn-around and claimed a 4-2 victory at home against Gateshead.
From then, Ebbsfleet only managed to win one other game in their remaining games of the season which was against AFC Fylde, but managed to secure survival and earn another season in the National League.
IN THE DUGOUT
Following the dismissal of Danny Searle earlier today, Ebbsfleet said in their Club Statement that midfielder Josh Wright will be in the dugout for Tuesday night’s game.
The 34-year-old joined Billericay as a player/coach in 2021, before joining Ebbsfleet in 2022 where he became Club Captain last season.
Wright has a wealth of Football League experience with over 400 EFL appearances to his name, as well as multiple England youth appearances.
