MATCH PREVIEW: AFC Fylde (A)

The Shots travel up north to Lancashire as they make the 510-mile round trip to take on AFC Fylde at the Mill Farm Stadium.

The Coasters have spent the last 10 years jumping between the National League North and National League, and are now in their second consecutive season after being crowned champions of the National League North back in 2022/23.

The Coasters currently sit 22nd in the league table, with nine points from their opening 12 games following their 2-0 loss away against Barnet.

LAST TIME OUT

The Shots’ last visit to Mill Farm saw a 2-0 victory, taking home the three points last September.

Both goals came in the second half as a 69th minute goal from Ryan Glover took the Shots ahead, with the three points secured in the 81st minute as Tyler Frost slotted home.

IN THE DUGOUT

Due to the departure of Chris Beech last month, AFC Fylde have announced that Nathan Delfouneso and Chris Neal will be taking charge of all first team matters until the club finds their replacement.

Delfouneso spent six years of his senior footballing career at Aston Villa where he made 31 appearances for the club, however during this time had four loan spells at Championship clubs such as Burnley, Leicester City, Blackpool and Coventry City.

On the international stage, Delfouneso was a regular England youth international where he played a total of 54 matches and scored 19 goals at U16, U17, U19 and U21 level.
