Mark Phillips Returns on Loan

Aldershot Town have re-signed centre-half Mark Phillips on a one month loan from AFC Wimbledon.

The 32 year-old made seven hugely impressive appearances in his original loan spell, in March and April 2014, as he helped The Shots secure their Conference safety. He joined AFC Wimbledon in the summer and has made four appearances for The Dons.

Phillips previously played for Andy Scott at Brentford, where he won the 2008-09 League Two championship. Phillips was named Southend United’s Player of the Season in 2011-12 and made total of 114 appearances for The Shrimpers, as part of a career spanning over 250 games which has also taken him to Millwall and Darlington.

He goes straight into Andy Scott’s squad to face Alfreton Town tomorrow at the Electrical Services Stadium.
