LOAN MOVE: Woody Angell Joins AFC Totton on loan

Youngster Woody Angell has joined AFC Totton on loan.

The young midfielder came through the academy at the EBB Stadium, impressing enough to make his senior debut in a Hampshire Senior Cup match v Farnborough, before making his first appearance in the Vanarama National League shortly after, coming on as a late substitute in a 2-1 win over Grimsby Town.

After a short spell at Salisbury, the 19-year-old had joined AFC Totton in time to be included in their squad for the goalless draw with Barnstaple Town at the Snows Stadium back on 12th February.

Woody then continued to impress with AFC Totton, making a goalscoring debut in the Southampton Senior Cup rout over Hedge End Town on Tuesday night.

The 19 year-old arrives at the Snows Stadium at an important juncture in their season and will look to play his part in their end of season run-in, as the Stags fight hard for promotion with their next game against Willand Rovers at home.
