HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY!

To celebrate international Women’s Day, today’s Vanarama National League game with Gateshead is our Her Game Too dedicated fixture.

As a we continue as a club to forge a path into the Women’s game, it is important to also recognise and celebrate the many women who have played and continue to play a key role within our Men’s First-Team and Academy.

Earlier this week we caught up with Programme Editor, Victoria Rogers, in a special ShotsAAA episode to shine a light on the fantastic work she does for the Club – you can watch that HERE

There is also a lot more going on today at the EBB Stadium!

  • As part of the Shots Foundation‘s Mike Pusey Community Stand Scheme, over 250 FREE tickets have been given to local girls in our School Programme, Grassroots teams and our Academy sides.
  • The Shots Foundation’s Fanzone will be open from 1:30pm-3pm with their Inflatable Shots Mini Pitch open to all.
  • Women’s First-Team Manager, Ayme Melham, will be on hand by the Side Gate Entrance to speak to anyone who wants to know more about how we’re increasing our participation in the women’s game and also has a column in this weekend’s Matchday Programme.
  • Our pre-match Flag Wavers will all be girls.
  • Both sides will be warming up in Her Game Too T-Shirts and our corner flags will be representing Her Game Too
  • We will be giving our Academy Under 15s and 16s Girls our appreciation at Half-Time as they do a lap of the EBB Stadium pitch.
