Friday Is Football Shirt Friday!

Aldershot Town are again supporting Football Shirt Friday this year, to raise money for the Bobby Moore bowel cancer fund this Friday, 17 April.

The Bobby Moore Fund is asking all football fans to wear their colours with pride and make a £2 donation to help beat bowel cancer.

Stephanie Moore, the widow of England’s World Cup-winning captain who died of the disease in February 1993 aged just 51, said: “We wanted to let the Vanarama Conference know about an exciting new fundraising event; Football Shirt Friday which the PFA are supporting and we seek to ask for your clubs and their fans to kindly get involved”.

No matter who you support, our only opposition on this day is bowel cancer, so hunt out that retro classic, pull on this season’s kit or brave the challenge of wearing a rival shirt. Round up your family and friends within your club for a day of fun while also helping to beat bowel cancer sooner!

Established in 1993 in partnership with Cancer Research UK, the Bobby Moore Fund has raised over £21 million for vital research into the disease and to raise public awareness.
