FA TROPHY: Aldershot Town’s Buildbase FA Trophy Fifth Round tie with Chesterfield FC is cancelled after positive PCR antigen test

Aldershot Town’s Buildbase FA Trophy fifth round tie with Chesterfield FC initially arranged for last Saturday has been cancelled after a positive PCR antigen test.

The decision was taken following the postponement of Saturday’s tie and the subsequent return of a positive PCR antigen test, forcing the Chesterfield first-team players and management to isolate for ten days.

Under FA rules, a rescheduled tie has to be played within five days of the original fixture and the possibility of playing an Under-19 team for the away side was considered before the decision was made to forfeit the tie.

Fans who purchased streaming for the game will automatically receive a full refund.

However, if you would like to transfer the pass over then you will need a new streaming code that will be sent over to you before the live show.

Aldershot Town will now get a bye to the Quarter-Final round of the tournament and will face Hereford FC at home in the Quarter-Finals.
