David James Plays At The EBB In Aid Of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice

Former England goalkeeper David James will play 90 minutes at the EBB Stadium next week, in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

The match, on Friday 13 May at 7pm, sees staff from Club sponsors Bridges Estate Agents face staff from Farnham’s Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. Entry is FREE but all proceeds from a collection and raffle will go towards the Hospice.

James, who made 572 Premier League appearances and won 53 England caps, will play 45 minutes for each side – as an outfield player!

Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, the only adult Hospice caring for terminally ill people and their families across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire. It serves over half a million residents, providing Specialist Palliative Care to adult patients and their families affected by a terminal illness, such as cancer, heart, lung or neurological disease.

Every day, it supports over 140 patients and their families, either at home, in the community or at the Hospice. Central funding covers less than 15% of the Hospice’s costs, meaning that it needs to raise over £15,000 each day to maintain its exceptional levels of clinical care and support.
