Aldershot Town are delighted to announce a one-year contract extension to our longest serving player, Ollie Harfield.
Ollie joined the Shots in 2022, going on to make 86 league appearances out of a possible 92 across his first two seasons, as well as being an ever present during the club’s famous FA Cup run in 2023/24. He would start the following season wearing the captain’s armband.
Following a freak knee injury in September 2024, Ollie has undergone an extremely lengthy and ultimately successful rehabilitation period, just missing out on a return to action at the tail end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Ollie’s current fitness status, as well as his continued ambassadorial presence around the club has clearly impressed his new manager, Scott Davies, who with this announcement makes the defender very much a part of his plans ahead of a maiden campaign in charge at the EBB Stadium.
“Securing Ollie for next season is hugely important. With the turnover of players this summer, it’s crucial to keep a core of the squad that understand the football club and what it takes to be an Aldershot Town player.
“I know that Ollie is a massive favourite with the fans, and I’m sure that we are all delighted to see him return from a long-term injury.
His dedication and commitment to get back fit has been nothing short of admirable and I genuinely hope that he’s back to his best as soon as possible.”
Everyone at Aldershot Town would like to congratulate Ollie with what marks a momentous achievement in both hard work, mental resilience and physical recovery. We look forward to an emotional, albeit inevitable, return to action this summer.
