We were delighted to welcome supporters of Vitesse Arnhem to the EBB Stadium recently!
The group wanted to visit the football club linked to Aldershot, the town known as being the home of the British Army, ahead of Remembrance Day.
Arnhem has strong links to the British Army and Remembrance Day because of the ‘Battle of Arnhem’, which took place in 1944.
Over 1000 allied soldiers gave the ultimate sacrifice in the battle, with over 6500 captured or missing.
The Dutch club and their supporters have commemorated the battle on a number of occasions with tifo displays, commemorative kits and invitations to veterans of the battle.
It was great to welcome the Vitesse supporters to the EBB Stadium and we hope they enjoyed their visit!
