CLUB STATEMENT

Aldershot Town Football Club wishes to address a number of recent incidents that have taken place both at the stadium and away from the ground involving individuals claiming to be part of our supporter base.

In recent times, there has been a number of incidents, both at the stadium and away from the grounds, involving people claiming to be part of our fanbase.

The Club’s CCTV system is fully operational throughout the stadium and can identify any individual engaging in disorderly or inappropriate behaviour.

Such incidents are wholly unacceptable and will not be tolerated. After a meeting took place today at the club, we can confirm with the police that should these incidents continue, any individual identified as being involved will face an immediate ban from the stadium.

The club and police have identified the age group which are causing most of the issues, to which if this behaviour continues, it will unfortunately see under 18’s required to show full ID, only buy tickets on the day of the match or banned entirely from the stadium unless accompanied by an individual over the age of 21.

Further to this, Chairman Deane Wood has made the following statement:

” Everyone knows how frustrated I’ve become with the recent incidents which have occurred within and outside the ground of this football club. My staff and I will not accept this anymore. The club will be in full cooperation with the police moving forward to put a stop to these incidents, and make sure that this football club is only supported by those here for the football club, and not for any kind of misconduct.

You, our supporters can help us by identifying any bad behavior, so the stewards or police can remove the situation. This club has a passionate and unique fan base, of which I am very proud. Let this continue, and not be ruined by a minority group of people.”
