Aldershot Town can confirm that Director John Denning has stepped down from the Board of Directors due to health reasons as he needs to reduce his commitment to many causes.
John has been a Director at the club for six years and has also assisted as Company Secretary whilst in his time here. He has been actively involved in the pub, restaurant, hospitality and leisure industries in his career as well as a Magistrate on the North Hampshire Bench, Senior Independent Director and Deputy Chair at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Chair Designate of the Governors of Guildford College Group which includes Merrist Wood College and Farnham Sixth Form College as well as the main college at Stoke Park in Guildford. He also continues to be on the Board of Trustees for the Queen Elizabeth Foundation for Disable People.
John will continue to assist the club on the redevelopment of the ground and will continue to be an avid supporter of the club in the stands. We thank John for all of his support and advice and wish him a speedy recovery.
