Chelsea Extend EBB Stadium Deal

Aldershot Town are delighted to announce that Chelsea’s Academy have extended their agreement to play matches at the EBB Stadium for the 2016-17 season.

This will extend the agreement into a fourth season, allowing the Blues’ Under 18 and Under 21 sides to continue to play home fixtures at Aldershot.

Chelsea Chairman Bruce Buck said: “We are very pleased to continue utilising the facilities at the EBB Stadium, which provides a fitting venue for our Academy players to develop and for Chelsea supporters to watch the teams of the future in action.

“We believe this relationship is mutually beneficial for both Chelsea and Aldershot Town, who have been fantastic hosts to us over the past two-and-a-half seasons.”

Shots Chairman Shahid Azeem said: “This is fantastic news for the Club and highlights our excellent relationship with Chelsea. It is a pleasure and a privilege to welcome them to the EBB Stadium for another season and we are immensely grateful for their support.

“The pitch continues to look superb, and Head Groundsman Andy Nunn has also benefitted hugely from the guidance of Chelsea’s groundstaff, and we look forward to seeing many more exciting games with Chelsea’s next generation of star players.”

Chelsea are next in action in Aldershot when they host Huddersfield Town in the FA Youth Cup third round on Wednesday 16 December at 7.05pm. Admission is £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. That is followed by a Barclays Under 21 Premier League game against Middlesbrough on Monday 21 December at 7.05pm.
