Join The Shots In Battle of the Brands!

Aldershot Town have taken Gary Waddock’s vow to ‘get this place rocking again’ as literally as possible – by forming a band!

The Shots have entered the Battle of the Brands, organised by the town’s Rock and Pop Foundation to help local companies and schools work together, and perform two songs live at the Princes Hall on Thursday 30 June – and you could be a part of it!

Aldershot Town are in partnership with club sponsors Hi Speed Couriers and Farnborough’s St Marks Primary School to form a band – complete with student choir – and undertake up to 10 hours of rehearsals with Rock and Pop Foundation tutors, culminating in the band’s first (and probably only!) gig at the Princes Hall.

There, they will perform Adele’s Hello and What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber!

The pupils will also receive advice on venue hire, concert promotion, pricing, website, t-shirt, ticket and poster design, as well as other industry issues, in a special Music Enterprise Workshop.

The Rock and Pop Foundation is a specialist independent Music Service providing a wide range of programmes to schools and colleges throughout the country. With over 20 years of experience in delivering music education to schools and organisations, they pride themselves on delivering the highest level of music tuition through fully accredited teaching team and syllabus.

If you are interested in taking part, please email steve.gibbs@theshots.co.uk with details of any musical ability, although several participants in other teams have no prior experience!
