Shots FITC Helps Young People Engage With Career

Aldershot Town’s Football in the Community Trust are working with B2B Engage to provide Traineeship opportunities for young people who want a career in sport.

B2B Engage currently have over 300 learners on their programme, and a dedicated team of 15 Assessors to help people aged 16 to 24 become “work ready” with a programme of academic and professional support for those striving towards a career in the sport industry or other roles that require leadership skills.

The Traineeship opportunity includes work preparation training, maths and English support for those who require it, a high-quality work experience placement, and advice on creating a CV that is tailored to your chosen career.

Flexible, friendly and motivated, B2B Engage allows participants to develop new skills and move up the career ladder with an Apprenticeship or NVQ, to obtain qualifications which are recognised by employers.

Sports coaches require many skills beyond technical prowess, including communication, organisation, problem solving, the ability to inspire and motivate, sensitivity and time-keeping; all issues covered by B2B Engage.

Successful completion of the course will culminate in an interview for a full-time apprenticeship role and a letter of reference to support future job applications.
