Aldershot Town are recruiting an Apprentice Groundsperson to work with Head Groundsman Colin Wilson.
In conjunction with Guildford’s Merrist Wood College, which will provide professional training as part of the two-year Apprenticeship, the role will involve learning how to operate grounds maintenance machinery, as well as techniques in fertilising, raking, scarifying, brushing, cutting and marking-out sports pitches. Tuition will also be provided in relevant legislation and regulations, and best practice on maintenance, environmental and mechanical issues.
Applicants must be physically fit with a mechanical aptitude, enjoyment of outside work, and be able to work as part of a team.
