Are you interested in playing for the Shots?
In the past two seasons alone, Aldershot Town has seen six of its Academy graduates make their First Team debuts, and there will be no fewer than 5 former Shots Academy players in the First Team squad next season. On top of this we have had at least one player in each of the England Schoolboys and England Independent Schoolboys International squads for the past 3 seasons. If you are young and aspiring footballer, Aldershot Town is fast becoming the place to be!
Our Academy are looking for high-level aspiring young footballers who are keen to represent the red and blue for the 2024-2025 season and will be holing open trials at the end of May. These trials will be for our Academy teams who will be participating on Saturdays, with twice-weekly training sessions supported by physical movement and development, sport psychology and analysis support worked around training.
We are inviting boys and girls to register for the trials we will be holding across the following dates:
- Monday 20th May: Under 9s to Under 12s Boys Academy Trials (5:00pm to 6:30pm)
- Tuesday 21st May: Under 15 to Under 18s Girls Academy Trials (5:00pm to 6:30pm)
- Thursday 23rd May: Under 13 and Under 14s Boys Academy Trials (5:00pm to 6:30pm)
- Friday 24th May: Under 15 and Under 16s Boys Academy Trials (5:00pm to 6:30pm)
- Friday 24th May: Under 18s Boys College Programme Trials (7:00pm to 8:15pm)
All trials will be held at Alderwood Senior School, Aldershot, GU12 4AS and will consist of a warm up and technical work, before moving into match play. The sessions will also be inclusive of goalkeepers, with time allotted during the session for goalkeeper exercises, alongside outfield practices.
