2021 GOLF DAY: Great to be back this year!

Following the lowering of Covid restrictions, Aldershot Town were delighted to be hold their Annual Golf Day at Puttenham Golf Club once again this year.

Raising invaluable funds for the club during these difficult times, 20 teams enjoyed fine weather and some excellent golf at one of Surrey’s most idealistic courses.

Generously sponsored by EBB Paper, who entered three teams into the tournament, as other teams featured Spurs legend David Howells and another with Olympic gold medallist Allan Wells too.

The team led by Chris Ungaretti won the main prize in the four-ball competition, with Natta Building Company in second having missed out on the count-back, with third place picked up by Tim Elliott’s EBB team as Clean King also narrowly missed out on the count-back too.

Our top three teams were awarded superb prizes donated by Srixon Golf and we thank Srixon Golf too for their support.

A delicious three-course dinner, attended by a number of first-team staff members including manager Danny Searle, was followed by a raffle and auction, which wrapped up what was an ideal way to finish off a sunny day’s worth of golf.

Other teams included: Srixon Golf, Western Automation, Barons Farnborough BMW, Akiko Web Design, Treetops Chartered Accountants, Scrivener Tibbatts, Terry Jasper, Lewis Scard, Norman Kelsey, Richard Buckmaster.

Commercial Manager Mark Butler said: “We missed the opportunity to have our annual Golf Day last season due to the pandemic, but we are delighted to be able to return again this summer for a brilliant day of golf.

“The Golf Day is always one of the best days in the Aldershot Town calendar and this year was no different. Puttenham Golf Club are always very accomodating and supportive and I’d also like to thank EBB Paper, Charters Peugeot, Srixon Golf for their support for this event as well.

“I would urge you to book your four-ball slot now for a spot on our next Golf Day in April.”
